The problem
Berry growers make high-stakes commercial decisions every week — committing volumes to marketing companies, scheduling picking crews, and booking cold chain logistics. All of it depends on knowing what’s coming off the farm. But traditional yield forecasting, done by hand, is notoriously difficult to get right.
The solution
Bitwise Agronomy’s GreenView AI gives commercial berry growers accurate 12-week rolling forecasts — at around 90% accuracy or better. Growers mount a GoPro camera on farm machinery, capture side-on video footage of approximately 3% of their crop, upload it, and receive interactive dashboards and spreadsheets within 12 hours. No drones, no sensors, no specialist equipment.
The AI draws on 1000s of ripening curves across 100+ berry varieties, combined with growing degree days, weather data, and pick schedule information — so every farm, block, and microclimate gets its own personalised forecast.
Advanced yield forecasting for berries
All growers need to do is capture imagery through a simple GoPro camera attached to an existing farm vehicle. The images are captured side-on and plotted on a map so you can easily navigate through your ‘virtual farm’.
